Elephant Trunk Hill :
This hill resembles an elephant sucking water. The Elephant Eye Rock perches high up the hill, with a hole running through it from left to right. Between the elephant's trunk and the body is a big round hole. It's reflection in the water is the exact image of the full moon, and hence its name" water Moon Cave". On the cliff there are more than 50 pieces of carved inscriptions belong to different periods. At the moonlight night, you will feel yourself merged with the moon in the sky, the moon in the cave and the moon at the river bottom. It is a symbol and landmark of the city.
Reed Flute Cave :
Described as "Art Palace of Nature", the stalagmite and stone flowers of grotesque shapes in the caves create breathtaking spectacles which are really a feast for the eyes. Half way up the Brightness Hill, Reed Flute Cave is seven kilometers northwest of the center of Guilin. There used to be a special kind of reed growing outside of the cave which was an ideal material for making flute. Inside the U-shaped Karst cave are a large number of stalactites, stalagmites, stone pillars, stone curtains, and stone flowers, all glistening in colorful lights. In a distance of 500 meter between the entrance and the exit, there are more than 30 interesting sights, including " Pine in the Snow", "Mushroom Hill","Virgin Forest"鈥 The Reed Flute Cave is justifiably called the " Art Palace of Nature".
Fubo Hill :
Fubo Hill is on the west bank of the Li River in city center. Partially submerged in the river it was named for General Fubo of the Tang Dynasty who built Mayuan Temple on the hill. Because of its location and height, Fubo Hill can tame the waves and stop the surging waters which then form whirlpools. it is 213 meters above sea level and 62 meters above ground. There are almost 350 steps to climb to reach top of hill and but then you can enjoy the bird's view of Guilin city.
Seven Star Park:
Situated on the eastern side of the Li River, Seven Star Park derives from the Seven Star Cave, is one kilometer away from the downtown. It occupies more than 40 hectares, which is the largest, most beautiful multiple park in Guilin. The park boasts of the green hills, crystal water, fantastic caves and beautiful rocks. The ancient Floral Bridge straddles at the southern entrance. Hidden-dragon Cave near the southern gate houses the Forest of Stone Inscriptions. To the east of Seven-Star Hill stands the Camel Hill, at the foot of which the US president Bill Clinton once made a public speech on environmental protection in 1998. Besides, the Seven-Star Cave, the zoo and potted landscape Garden are worthy of being seen.
Li River Cruise :
A cruise along the Li River between Guilin and Yangshuo is an unforgettable experience. As you take in the stunning scenery there's something interesting to see at almost every bend in the river. Between spectacular limestone peaks you'll see graceful bamboo groves, farmers tending rice paddies, and lumbering water buffaloes pulling carts or cooling off in the river. You may see fishermen gliding along on their narrow bamboo rafts, and if you're very lucky you might see one of the famous fishing cormorants. Boats depart from various wharves, according to the height of the river at different times of the year.
A Visit To The Boat House Of A Local Fisherman:

Get closer to local people to experience their daily life. You have the opportunity to chat with a fisherman, to see how they plant vegetables on an island, to find out how they raise fish under a boat, and to taste local fruits or snacks.
Yangshuo Countryside Cycling:
Experience the hustle & bustle of the Yangshuo traffic for 10 minutes before you escape onto the country roads, lanes and tracks of the distinctive and beautiful Yangshuo countryside. Biking alongside the paddy field and orchards that surround the famous mountains will give a fascinating insight into life in rural China. You will have a family visit on the half way. It is an opportunity to see a real country life and talk to the local famers.聽聽
Beihai Silver Beach :
Beihai Silver Beach lies to the south of Beihai City, 10 kilometers (6 miles) from the city center. It is reputed to be one of the best beaches in Southern China with its long beach, white sand, gentle waves and clean water.

Daxu Ancient Town:
Daxu Ancient Town is in the township of Linchuan, 15km away from the city proper of Guilin.It is one of Guangxi鈥檚 four ancient towns. The old street runs about 2km along the Li River. The narrow street is paved stone blocks, and the houses on both sides are well preserved.
Gudong Scenic Areas :
South of Daxu town of Lingchuan; 8km away from the road; 25km from Guilin. It is a national 3A scenery spot. The falls here are in different shapes with thick woods on two sides and the water is clear and sweet.
Jiangtou Village of Jiuwu Town :
Located at north, 32 km far from Guilin city, Jiangtou Village is reputed as one of seven the most valuable ancient villages in China. It has more than 620 residents鈥 houses built in Ming and Qing Dynasties with 800 years history. What is interesting is that 90 percent of residents there share the same family name鈥擹hou. According to history, most of them are descendants of Zhou Dunyi, a famous scholar of Neo-Confucianism and writer in Northern Song Dynasty. People there show the highest respect to education, and there were over 160 successful candidates in imperial exam of different levels in Ming and Qing Dynasties. Ancient well, long alleys, stone arch bridge, exquisite wooden carvings bring you back to ancient time.
Minority village and Longsheng Terraced Field :
The Longji Terraces are built into the steep mountain range named "The Dragon's Backbone" about 2 hours from Guilin. The terraces look like ribbons as they wind from the foot to the top of the mountain. This ingenious construction makes best use of the scarce arable land and water resources in the mountainous area. There are about 66 square kilometers of terraced fields in the district. The Terraces were first built in the Yuan dynasty and completed in the Qing dynasty by the Zhuang people. Zhuang and Yao minority villages dot the area and feature traditional unique architecture where no nails are used in construction. The different minority customs and dressing styles are especially interesting. Sedan chairs are available from the parking lot to the top of the mountain for customers who would like to see the great views but fail to climb all the way up to the top, it takes about CNY350 per person for the round trip.
Longsheng Hot Springs:
Longsheng Hot Springs, reputed as "a heaven of peace and happiness" and a "paradise on earth," is the centerpiece of the national park. Welling out from cracks in the rocks halfway up the mountain, the hot spring water is colorless, tasteless, pure and clear. At 54-58 degrees centigrade, it consists of many trace elements including lithium, strontium, iron, manganese, zinc, copper and others. The water is suitable for drinking and bathing. It also has curative effects on nerves, skin diseases, rheumatism, and arthritis. Since the Longsheng Hot Springs are situated in a deep tranquil valley, surrounded by mountains of dense vegetation, it is warm in the winter and cool in the summer there. It is an ideal resort for tourism, recuperation, health, relaxation and vacation.
Tea Plantation:
The tea plantation run operated by the Guilin Tea research Institute runs a very information tour and tea tasting. The 1 hour tour begins among the tea bushes with an explanation of the different type of tea leaves and how white, green, yellow & black tea is obtained. This is followed by a demonstration of the drying process. The tour concludes with a tea tasting from a selection of some or their best teas. The way out included a visit to the shop but there was no pressure to buy.
Yangshuo Big Banyan Tree:
Situated near Gaotian Town along the Jinbao River, 7.5km south of Yangshuo, it is no exaggeration to say that the whole area, with its beautiful natural scenery, looks like a Chinese painting. In the center of the park, standing 17m high and taking up an area of 100sq m, is a big banyan tree with a history of 1400 years.
It is said to be a meeting place for Sister Liu, a famous Zhuang-minority singing fairy, and Brother A'niu. Also, it was used as a background for the movie musical "Third Sister of Liu". Anyone who has seen the movie Sister Liu can't forget the melodic songs and red embroidered balls. Looking like a mirror, the crystal clear Jinabao River flows through Big Banyan Park.
The Orangutan Hill, Otter Cave, Camel Peak, and the villages with their crisscrossing fields, together comprise one of the best rural landscapes in the world. It is a natural phenomenon that the moon occasionally changes appearances from shady to bright, and from full to empty. But here, within just 15 minutes time, you can appreciate the shady, bright, full and empty states of the moon. Here, the moon shape changes according to the different viewing angles, which emulate for you the phases of the moon.
Yangshuo Chinese Cookery Class:
This class begins at the local market where ingredients for the dishes are chosen by students. Back at a covered, rooftop patio-classroom, you have an opportunity to learn three dishes and enjoy the fruits of your labor. You can choose other favorite dishes at the lunch.
What happens during the class?
1. Meet the teacher in cooking school and choose two meat dishes and one vegetable dish from the menu.
2. Walk to local farmer's market and see different kinds of seasonable vegetable and meat sell in the market.
3. Back to school to start the class, there are three steps to learn: chopping, frying and seasoning.
4. Taste the dishes you cook and receive the recipes after class.
Huangyao Ancient Town:
It is situated in northeast Zhaoping County of Hezhou City in Guangxi Province, 40 kilometers away from both Zhaoping County and Hezhou City (straight distance), and 200 kilometers away from Guilin City.It has now been awarded Provincial Tourist Attraction. The old street in the village was completely beset by grey-blue slates. The surface of the street is quite smooth. Architectures within the village are laid out in an array of the Nine-Palaces and Eight-Diagrams, which embodies Linnan style of architecture. Buildings in this style go well with the surroundings and this town is recognized as 鈥渁n art palace showing perfect coexist of human beings and nature鈥. It is a garden village with natural landscape.
Crown Cave:
29km south of Guilin, the Crown Cave is a giant subterranean river cavern by the Li River. Taking the shape of the gold crown of ancient emperor, the cave is 12 km long and consists of three parts. Views inside are fantastic, stalactites and stalagmites in all strangle shape are illuminated by lights and glisten with a golden glow. An underground stream passes through the cave and then joins the Li River. The cave has modern sightseeing facilities, including an elevator, small train, boats and sightseeing roller coaster.
Folded Brocade Hill:
This area is composed of Silver Hill. Yuyue Hill ,Red Crown Crane Hill and Bright Moon Hill.It is named after its traversed rock layers, which resemble a piece of folded brocade. This was developed in Tang Dynasty and in Song and Yuan Dynasty many carved Buddha on precipices appeared all at once, with endless burning incenses. In Ming and Qing Dynasty it became a meeting place for poets and painters.
